Get There First - Beginner Speed Programme 2
This 4 week online programme is the second of 3 in the “Get There First” beginner ebook series, designed to improve your speed and introduce you to preparing for the various demands of your sport. This programme is progressive and packed with exercises, drills & ideas to help you become a more mobile, robust, explosive and ultimately faster athlete! It is perfect for supplementary pre-season preparation! Accompanying videos will allow you to view correct exercise techniques and access cues & tips before you carry them out.
PROGRAMME AIMS
Acceleration: Maintain “stiff” ankles (toes-up), and establish powerful linear arm drive, and “stabbing” action down & back.
Change of Direction: Establish sharp shin angles, and efficiency incorporating accelerations.
Agility: Improve pattern recognition, multi-planar coordination, and reactions.
Deceleration: Establish ability to chop strides, stiffness, and being able to alter body positions from deceleration to acceleration.
Landing & Stability: Improve stiffness and establish stable multi-directional landings.
