This is the final 4 week online programme in the “Get There First” beginner ebook series, designed to introduce you to preparing for the various demands of your sport. This programme is more challenging and packed with exercises, drills & ideas to help you become a more mobile, robust, explosive and ultimately faster athlete! It is perfect for supplementary pre-season preparation! Accompanying videos will allow you to view correct exercise techniques and access cues & tips before you carry them out. We hope that by utilising this programme, you will become much more confident in your speed and ability during your sport.
PROGRAMME AIMS
Acceleration: Improve “switching” of the limbs with intent and piston action down & back.
Change of Direction: Improve angular change of direction and the ability to ”load & explode”.
Agility: Achieve positions under pressure, and improve decision making & focus.
Deceleration: Improve stopping in different movement planes and efficiency moving from deceleration to back-pedalling.
Landing & Stability: Improve single leg stability and stiffness when landing more complex jumps / hops.
